The Internet and Mailorder Pharmacy Accreditation Commission's (IMPAC) mission is dedicated to the promotion of consumer safety and quality improvement in the international and domestic mailorder pharmacy industry. IMPAC's goals include, without limitation:

• Define quality and safety for mailorder prescription drugs in international standards.
• Promote consumer safety through a standardized accreditation process for international and domestic internet and mailorder pharmacies.
• Improve the performance of the Internet and mailorder pharmacy industry.

IMPAC defines quality and consumer safety or patient safety in its quality standards for prescription drugs purchased through a mailorder pharmacy or internet pharmacy; verifies these standards through an accreditation or certification process at the location of an international pharmacy including Canadian pharmacies, United States pharmacies and others; provides a seal of accreditation to an approved pharmacy which differentiates that pharmacy from a rogue pharmacy or a pharmacy that might dispense counterfeit medications through importation.
