Safe Shopping Network

Several of RxPop.com's partner pharmacies are members of the Safe Shopping Network Program. To learn more about the Safe Shopping Network program please continue reading below.
High quality web sites earn high scores because they are owned by business people who care about quality. The web sites listed in the Safe Shopping Network have been tested by us to help you decide which ones you should shop at. You can see each web site's scores by looking at the bars on the right side of each web site listing. Higher bars mean higher scores and higher scores mean these merchants are working hard to earn your trust. We take the trouble to test and score each web site for you.
Safety Ratings
What are Safety Ratings?
Safety ratings indicate how safe it is to shop at a particular website. Simply put, the fuller the safety meter bar, the safer it is for you to shop at that site.
How are the Safety Ratings broken down?
Safety Scores are broken down into three criteria: cart function, delivery and security.
What is Cart Function?
Cart function determines how accurately the shopping cart adds up your dollar. It also indicates whether or not you can safely back out of (delete or remove) a purchase if you change your mind.
What is Delivery?
Delivery indicates which shipping companies are used. Reputable, fast companies such as UPS and FedEx will automatically register a higher rating.
What is Security?
Security indicates how safe your credit card information will be. It tests the encryption and the SSL (secure socket layers) technology, the industry-standard method for protecting all web communications.
How do I know what "Good" and "Bad" Safety Scores are?
When you look at the SafeShoppingNetwork Web Site Safety Score, you are seeing the total score that results from the addition of the individual Cart Function, Delivery and Security scores. The maximum Total Safety Score possible is 100 points.
If you look at the chart below, you can see how web sites generally score when tested for Safety Ratings. The SafeShoppingNetwork excludes those sites that score below 70 points from our listings. You can see from the chart that out of about 1000 sites tested for safety, almost 170 were automatically disqualified. We simply do not believe they are safe. You can also see that most sites earn Safety Scores between 75 and 90 points. The real champs, from our test data, are those that score 90 or above.

Why are these findings so important?
The cart function, delivery and security of the shopping cart are of extreme importance. Safety ratings indicate whether or not specific websites are safe to shop at. You can easily see for yourself how safe a site is by looking at the meter bar. Nowhere else on the Internet will you find such objective and technical findings. There are many well-known sites out there that have a good exterior but with very poor safety ratings. Some have absolutely no regard for the consumer's dollar. Our directory lists only the top rated sites.
Don't be fooled by "Awards" and "Citations".
As you travel the web, you'll inadvertently hit any number of websites that display different kinds of awards and citations for "good Usability". Those issuing such awards do not use software to objectively evaluate the website nor do they issue awards based on shopper evaluations. Safe Shopping Network does!
An Important Consumer Note
The SafeShoppingNetwork provides both general and detailed test scores to all listed web site managers. We also provide them with the tools to compare their scores to other web sites in their listing categories and, when requested, we provide them with consulting assistance so that they may improve their scores and their web site presentations.
The SafeShoppingNetwork commitment is to continuous Internet quality improvement.
We are constantly looking for ways to improve our test technologies, our score reporting, and web site quality.
Usability Ratings
What are Usability Ratings?
Web Site Usability is Rated with four components:
- the homepage
- content/product pages
- customer service
- order processing
How is the Homepage Rated?
It is essential to make a good first impression. It is that first impression that makes a customer feel welcome and at home. The homepage is graded on its understandability, whether or not it has good eye appeal (good colors and visuals), whether or not it is well balanced and laid out nicely, and if it has a good selection of listings and categories. If any website page has excessive pop-ups or ads, Usability ratings are immediately lowered. Ads are extremely annoying, irritating and bothersome.
How are Content/Product Pages Rated?
These pages are scored on easy understandability and navigational ease. Is it easy to get from one page/visual to another and back again? Does it make sense? Or do you have to be a Rhodes scholar to figure it out? Content pages are rated on good selections, good visuals, descriptions and product information. Information and visuals are essential.
How is Customer Service Rated?
Outstanding customer service is critical. High credit is given for toll free phone numbers and easy-to-find contact links especially from the homepage. It is annoying to waste precious time searching for hard to find email contacts. Online help, live chats and Question & Answer pages are a real plus. Potential customers need to be able to contact websites!
How is Order Processing Rated?
The order processing consists of easy, understandable directions, navigation and speed. Is it easy to order? Does the shopping cart make sense? Can you go back, delete and move forward quickly? These factors are extremely important.
How do I know what "Good" and "Bad" Usability Scores are?

All tested web sites were found to score higher than our 70-point minimum. You can also see that most sites earn Usability Scores between 70 and 95 points. The highest scoring Usability sites, from our test data, are those that score 95 or above.
Why are these findings so important?
The Usability of the Home Page, Content/Product Pages, Customer Service and Order Processing are of extreme importance to consumers. Usability ratings indicate how well the web site caters to consumer needs and how concerned the web site designer or owner are with consumer needs.
You can easily see for yourself how Usable a site is by looking at the meter bar. Nowhere else on the Internet will you find such objective and technical findings. There are many well-known sites out there that have a good appearance but with very poor Usability Ratings. Some sites have absolutely no regard for the consumer's needs. Performance Ratings
What are Performance Ratings?
The SafeShoppingNetwork Performance rating system is designed to answer the question: Does everything work? This is a case where things can look good and the site can test safely, but may have slow downloads, broken links or poor HTML coding.
Don't let the fancy words scare you. Performance ratings are simple. Our technology does all the work. Performance ratings bring up test results for the following three criteria:
Download Time
Link Validity
Html Validity
What is Download Time?
Download time is the amount of time it takes for a page to actually come up on your screen.
What is Link Validity?
Link validity determines whether or not a link works. When you click on a word or a direction, does it actually take you there? Or do you get a page that "cannot be displayed" or is completely irrelevant?
What is Html Validity?
Html validity is the heart and soul of a website. It determines whether or not the site works. It is the foundation. If something is wrong with the html programming, then the structure of the website is weak. You'll either get broken links, missing parts or a long drawn-out load time. Nobody wants to waste time. Most internet users are in a hurry. If a page doesn't load quickly users immediately click off the site and a potential sale is lost.
Why are these ratings so important?
Performance testing is critical because it tells you how well the website is put together. You can easily look at the meters to see how well a site tests and decide if you want to even visit a particular site. Performance ratings give the consumer power in making individual decisions on whether or not a site is safe and reliable.

How do I know what "Good" and "Bad" Performance Scores are?
